CPTS Maryland offers a wide range of assessment services.

Our professionally administered psychological evaluations consist of validated measures of intellectual functioning, personality dynamics, and/or educational achievement.

ADHD, ODD, CD, Sensory Processing Disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Personality Disorders,

Screening Provided for 


1.  ADHD (Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder)

  • Symptoms: Characterized by inattention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity. Symptoms may include difficulty focusing, trouble organizing tasks, fidgeting, and interrupting others.
  • Types: Primarily inattentive presentation, primarily hyperactive-impulsive presentation, or a combination of both.

2.  ODD (Oppositional Defiant Disorder)

  • Symptoms: Characterized by a pattern of angry, irritable mood, argumentative behavior, or vindictiveness. Symptoms can include frequently losing temper, arguing with adults, and defying rules.
  • Impact: ODD can affect relationships and functioning at home, school, or in the community.

3. CD (Conduct Disorder)

  • Symptoms: Involves a repetitive and persistent pattern of behavior that violates the rights of others or societal norms. Symptoms can include aggression toward people or animals, destruction of property, deceitfulness, and serious rule violations.
  • Severity: Conduct disorder is considered more severe than ODD and may lead to more significant issues in adolescence or adulthood.

4. Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD)

  • Characteristics: Involves difficulties in processing sensory information, which can affect how individuals respond to sensory stimuli (e.g., sounds, textures, lights). Symptoms can include being overly sensitive or under-responsive to sensory input.
  • Impact: SPD can interfere with daily activities and social interactions.

5. Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

  • Symptoms: A developmental disorder that affects communication, behavior, and social interaction. Symptoms may include difficulty with social cues, restricted interests, and repetitive behaviors.
  • Spectrum: ASD is a spectrum condition, meaning it affects individuals differently and to varying degrees.

6. Personality Disorders

  • Definition: A group of mental health conditions characterized by enduring patterns of behavior, cognition, and inner experience that deviate from cultural expectations, leading to distress or impairment.
  • Types: There are several types, including:
    • Borderline Personality Disorder: Instability in relationships, self-image, and emotions.
    • Narcissistic Personality Disorder: A pattern of grandiosity, need for admiration, and lack of empathy.
    • Antisocial Personality Disorder: Disregard for the rights of others and societal norms.
